I do voluntary work regularly for homeless people every Wednesday. Helping people in need gives me deep satisfaction. I don’t understand why there are many homelessness in Canada.

At firts, don’t trust this time!! This is Japanese time, so now is 23:46. I never comment at Lunch time!!!
By the way, I think Canadian homeless people are very cunning as a fox. They demand the money. Unbelieveble!! Do work themselves!! In my country, there are many homeless people, and they live in the park even if it is cold winter. They earn money themselves fo many ways. Some people sell used magazin,some people collect cans and sell fo recycle company. I like Canada, but I don’t like people who are lazy.

Hello, Robin.
Wherever we walk down the street, we can meet many people who don’t have enough money and ask money to other people. I know we need to help these people, but sometimes i feel scary when i meet them…

I think the best way to help these people is gevornment’s help. The government should give them opportunity to work and they can be independent by supporting themselves.

I don’t understand why that happens in Canada.I think people who ask for money on the street are lazy because They can find a job and make money.

Well I think that in Canada you could still decide how to live. This is a very supportive country. The homeless people in Bulgaria don’t ask money for cafe or for weed – they are really starving.We don’t have food banks or non-profit organizations to help.

So here I feel is like mostly their choice./ I don’t mean the people with debilities/

Great conversation! Not everyone in Canada does have protection.

Imagine: you have had a difficult start in life, you have bad luck, make some bad choices … you lost your job and have run out of money. Your rent/mortgage is overdue … then you are homeless. You have nowhere to keep clean clothes, nowhere to wash, nowhere safe and clean to sleep, nowhere to keep a bit of food, no food … live like this for a few days/then weeks/then months …

…now, get a job.

Do we blame people for needing help or do we look for ways to help them?

I don’t understand why pleope in Canada have to ask for money even thougth they have the canadian’s protection. I think this situation not leave good comments of a developed country.

i don’t unerstand why they don’t work. They are even healthier than some people. If people always give these beggers money, they will think that you can get money without working. so i think don’t give them money, if they really need money they can get it through.
