I'm so sorry it took this long to respond to your comments. You wouldn't believe how busy I've been, but that's another story ... ;) You are speaking about very serious matters - from your heart. I'm especially interested in your second comment because this is the other side of any close look at such a situation. While I am looking closely at one situation my focus is shifted away from other situations. The next step has to be looking to see the connections to the wider world. The war on Iraq is hideously complex. The whole world knows it was launched on a lie. The liars are very interested in the instability and violence they have stirred up, and the PKK are part of that picture. Soldiers are used and people who simply want to live their lives are not worth much from the perspective of those who lie and pull on all the strings connecting one to the other. I can only speak for myself. When I write /think / speak about this, I notice the connection between it and the history of my own country. The lies being told today are very old ones that colonizers and empire-builders always tell in order to erase the people whom they see as obstacles to their control. You can look into the connection between Turkey, the PKK, events in Iraq, Palestine/Israel, Afghanistan, etc. and find more connections and help make the big picture clearer by sharing how you see it.
